La Cantera Vineyard in the Chehalem AVA- Very well-drained soils consisting of the shallow wind deposited silts of loess and Laurelwood on top of the volcanic basalt. This vineyard consists solely of Pinot Noir in which the soil conveys an elegance for this varietal’s cherry and spice flavors
